If you enjoy playing Mahjong with friends and love the Mediterranean flavors of The Greek Islands, then this event is for you! Taste Meraki Taverna's favorite bites from Chef Owner Michalakis Sarris while scoring points playing your favorite game of Mahjong. Whether you are a semi-beginner or an advanced player, solo or with a group, join us for an evening of festivities, fabulous food, and gameplay.

Chef Mike is the owner and executive chef of Meraki Taverna aptly named for doing something with soul and devotion. Enjoy expertly prepared Greek classics with a wonderfully warm, hospitable dining experience! Now you can dine on Mediterranean favorites all while calling out MAHJONG!

~ Dress for Numbers fun! Wear the color of money (green) and receive a special prize!
~ Prior to play, as well as during, we will be dining on Greek delights including dessert and coffee.
~ Door Prizes and Surprises await!
~ All beverages "Spiked" or not (soft drinks/mocktails) are a CASH BAR/TIP paid directly to the server/restaurant.
~ Gratuities are encouraged for the service and are not included in your registration.
~ If you sign up solo ($85) you will be randomly put with other lovely Intermediate players.
~ If you sign up with a table of four (at one time) receive a discount ($320 for 4 players). Please forward all names/emails.
~ All attendees must be paid in advance, not at the door. This event will sell out.
~ NO refunds can be made. If you cannot make the event, we will miss you, but you are encouraged to send a friend to play in your spot.
~ Tiles/Mats available if you do not have one but please bring your card for NML American play.
~ For this event there will not be instruction for beginners (possibly at future events).

Meet DonnaDishes
Donna Monaco Olsen is a culinary influencer, people connector, and food writer. She develops recipes and coordinates cooking programs for adult education in the New York and New England regions. Donna has experience organizing and hosting more than 125 cooking demonstrations yearly, where she invites chefs to present live demos-from restaurants to libraries to private homes-enhancing food education, for all levels of culinary enthusiasts.
Additionally, Donna has served as a contributing writer for outlets such as The Recorder newspaper, Bedford Magazine, and CTBites, sharing food culture insights. She is published in a cookbook, Fresh Fish, having curated and tested many recipes.
