Course Outline
Harbor Ledge Lighthouse
The Harbor Ledge Lighthouse Project is a signature offering in the series, featuring a watercolor exploration of Stamford’s Harbor Ledge Lighthouse as seen from the shores of Old Greenwich. Students begin with a soft-line template of the lighthouse and gentle waterfront horizon, learning core watercolor techniques such as washes, layering, and detail work. The project encourages students to add their own splash of creativity while capturing this landmark, making it an ideal first step for students interested in coastal art. This project can be enjoyed as a standalone experience or as part of the broader lighthouse collection in the Greenwich Institute’s curriculum.
